A checklist for preparing a local gas leaf blower ordinance.

• Find your jurisdiction in the ban tracker and read the current municipal code.
• Confirm whether state law limits local authority.
• Choose a comparable jurisdiction and read its primary record.
• Decide who receives complaints, what evidence is needed, and who receives a notice.
• Decide how contractors, residents, sellers, and city staff are treated.
• Plan the transition: lending, reimbursement, trade-in, deadlines, or a combination.
